That the Kaipātiki Local Board:

a)         confirm the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Wednesday, 27 September 2017, as a true and correct record.

Birkenhead United Association Football Club

 

Dave Newick, Keith Lesslie and William Taylor of the Birkenhead United Association Football Club were in attendance to address the board regarding the field requirements and long-term objectives of the club. A copy of the presentation has been placed on the official minutes and is available on the Auckland Council website as a minutes attachment.

 

Resolution number KAI/2017/58

MOVED by Chairperson D Grant, seconded by Member A Hartley:  

That the Kaipātiki Local Board:

a)         receive the deputation from Birkenhead United Association Football Club.

b)        thank Dave Newick and the Birkenhead United Association Football Club for their attendance and presentation.

c)         acknowledge the achievements of the Birkenhead United Association Football Club President, Dave Newick, and thank him for his leadership of the club.  We wish him well in his future endeavours.

Whānau Mārama Parenting

 

Tamati Ihaka and Haiying Dong of Whānau Mārama Parenting were in attendance to address the board. Two documents titled ‘We believe parents have the power to transform our world for the better’ and ‘Parenting courses for all cultures’ were tabled. Copies have been placed on the official minutes and are available on the Auckland Council website as minutes attachments.

MOVED by Member A Smithson, seconded by Member K McIntyre:  

That the Kaipātiki Local Board:

a)        receive the deputation from Whānau Mārama Parenting.

b)        thank Tamati Ihaka, Haiying Dong and Whānau Mārama Parenting for their attendance and presentation.

Linda Smalley of the North Shore Hospital Auxiliary was in attendance to address the board. A document entitled ‘North Shore Hospital Auxiliary – Serving the comfort of patients and staff’ was tabled. Birkenhead Residents Association

 

Gillian Taylor and Carol Hayward of the Birkenhead Residents Association addressed the board regarding the Birkenhead community-led neighbourhood plan. A powerpoint presentation was provided. A copy has been placed on the official minutes and is available on the Auckland Council website as a minutes attachment.

Two documents entitled ‘Birkenhead community-led neighbourhood plan‘ and ‘Birkenhead’s uniqueness is a combination of:’ were tabled. Copies have been placed on the official minutes and are available on the Auckland Council website as minutes attachments.
