Executive summary
2. In September 2016, the Council received 108 appeals to the Council’s decisions on the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan.
3. Celia Davison will provide an update on the 38 appeals that remain active.

3. The presentation will cover the four structure plan areas which have been approved to proceed, key issues affecting areas in the Southern Structure Plan, an overview of the structure planning programme, and next steps in this process.

Safe Swim and Update on Watershed Plans

Purpose
1. Andrew Chin, Healthy Waters Strategy and Resilience Manager, will be present to address the panel regarding the launch of the new Safe Swim water quality testing programme.
2. He will discuss the commencement of the Auckland Waters Programme, developing a strategic approach to managing and delivery for better outcomes for all Auckland Waters.
3. An update on the development of watershed plans in line with the National Policy Statement on Fresh Water Management will also be provided.
