The Chairperson welcomed those present and Member Grey led the meeting in prayer.
Resolution number HM/2018/1 MOVED by Chairperson S Henderson, seconded by Member W Flavell:
That the Henderson-Massey Local Board: a) accept the apology from Member Warren Flaunty and Member Vanessa Neeson for absence. |
Members are reminded of the need to be vigilant to stand aside from decision making when a conflict arises between their role as a member and any private or other external interest they might have.

Ward Councillors are given an opportunity to update the local board on regional issues they have been involved in since the last business meeting.

Ms Goldthorpe raised concerns around: · reasons for the change in the waste collection method, from the orange plastic bags to stickers. · Concerns around public transport/bus routes changes for Ranui, Henderson and Lincoln Road. · Lack of toilets at the bus stop on Hobson street, Auckland central. |

Steve McDonald Mr. McDonald: · thanked the board for the grant given to Grey Power by the Henderson-Massey local board. · also spoke on the challenges the elderly people in the community are having with the new waste collection bins. · Requested that the local board look into the heavy grass growth in the Parks and reserves. |

Robert Frittmann · Mr. Frittmann spoke to the board on holding a public event in Henderson Park for Neighbours Day. |

Chris Sheerwood Mr. Sheerwood raised concerns on the unfair and bias terms and conditions in the Westwave Gymn membership contract and requests further investigation into the biases in the contract. |

Lindsay Donald Mr. Donald spoke to the board on ongoing maintenance issues at the Westwave Acquatic Centre and the quality of service provided to the public which include: · Sauna not working · Staff repersentation of management and Auckland Council. · Cameras’ obstruction by trees · Very hard to find car parking · Fast and slow swimmers using the same lanes |
