Chairperson Mulholland opened the meeting and welcomed everyone present.
Resolution number WH/2018/29 MOVED by Chairperson T Mulholland, seconded by Member D Whitley: That the Whau Local Board: a) accept the apologies from deputy chair Susan Zhu for absence and member Duncan Macdonald for lateness.

Members are reminded of the need to be vigilant to stand aside from decision making when a conflict arises between their role as a member and any private or other external interest they might have.
Specifically members are asked to identify any new interests they have not previously disclosed, an interest that might be considered as a conflict of interest with a matter on the agenda.

7 Ward Councillor’s Update
Councillor Ross Clow updated the board on matters being addressed by the Governing Body including:
· Whau Local Board chair Tracy Mulholland and Whau Local Board member Derek Battersby’s presentation to Finance and Performance Committee on 17 April regarding Avondale’s redevelopment and land sales.
· Need of maintenance of the Bob Hill Reserve skate bowl and adjoining areas.
· Mayor Phil Goff’s recent surgery.
There were no deputations.

Approve the public notification of the intention to revoke the Reserves Act 1977 status over Saunders Reserve, 26 Saunders Place, Avondale |

Resolution number WH/2018/35 MOVED by Chairperson T Mulholland, seconded by Member D Whitley: That the Whau Local Board: a) approve the public notification of Auckland Council’s intention to revoke the Reserves Act status over Saunders Reserve described as Lots 26 and 27 on Deposited Plan 112772 under section 24 (1) of the Reserves Act 1977; b) approve, if required, the appointment of the full local board as a panel to consider submissions or objections received, and for the panel to reach a decision.

Motu Manawa Walkway Stages Two and Three Strategic Assessment |

Resolution number WH/2018/36 MOVED by Chairperson T Mulholland, seconded by Member T Matafai: That the Whau Local Board: a) receive and endorse the high level plan for stages 2 and 3 of the Motu Manawa Walkway as presented in Attachment A to this report.

Delegation for formal local board views on notified resource consents, plan changes and notices of requirement |

Resolution number WH/2018/37 MOVED by Member D Whitley, seconded by Member D Battersby: That the Whau Local Board: a) delegate the authority to Local Board Chair Tracy Mulholland, to prepare and submit local board views and speak those local board views at any hearings on: · Notified resource consents · Notified plan changes · Notices of requirement.

Local Transport Capital Fund: options for distribution and size of the fund |

Resolution number WH/2018/38 MOVED by Member D Battersby, seconded by Member T Matafai: That the Whau Local Board endorse: a) an increase to the local transport capital fund of $10 million per annum (inflation adjusted) from 1 July 2018 b) the distribution of the entire local transport capital fund to be made according to Auckland Council’s Local Boards Funding Policy from 1 July 2018 c) Auckland Transport receiving additional funding to provide an increased level of support to local boards in developing and assessing projects for the local transport capital fund.
