Chairperson Greg Presland opened the meeting and welcomed those present.
Resolution number WTK/2018/63 MOVED by Chairperson G Presland, seconded by Deputy Chairperson S Toms: That the Waitākere Ranges Local Board: a) accept the apology from Member S Coney for absence. |
Members were reminded of the need to be vigilant to stand aside from decision making when a conflict arises between their role as a member and any private or other external interest they might have.
Specifically members are asked to identify any new interests they have not previously disclosed, an interest that might be considered as a conflict of interest with a matter on the agenda.

Adoption of the Waitākere Ranges Local Board Agreement 2018/2019 |

Resolution number WTK/2018/65 MOVED by Deputy Chairperson S Toms, seconded by Member N Henderson: That the Waitākere Ranges Local Board: a) adopt local content for the 10-year Budget 2018-2028 (Attachment A), including: i) a Local Board Agreement 2018/2019 ii) a message from the Chair iii) local board advocacy. b) adopt local fees and charges schedules for 2018/2019 (Attachment B). c) delegate authority to the Chair to make any final minor changes to the local content for the 10-year Budget 2018-2028, including the Local Board Agreement 2018/2019. d) note: i) that Local Board Agreement 2018/2019 local activity budgets will be updated to reflect final budget decisions made by the Governing Body on 31 May 2018 ii) that if there are outstanding (not yet agreed) matters in the Local Board Agreement 2018/2019, the local board should include an explanation of these matters in the Chair’s message at the front of the agreement iii) that the resolutions of this meeting will be reported back to the Governing Body when it meets to adopt the 10-year Budget 2018-2028 on 28 June 2018. e) note that $100,000 of capital expenditure will be added to the local community services activity in the local board agreement to progress the Waitakere Ranges Local Board’s one local initiative. This is following decisions made at Finance and Performance Committee last week f) note the updated wording with respect to local environmental management initiative replace fund a kauri dieback community coordinator with the wording ‘continue to fund local response to kauri dieback’ g) note in Attachment B that the Glen Eden Library Room hire be amended from 50% to 100% subsidy. |

Big Blue Wāitakere Coastal and Marine Information Report: 2018 |

Resolution number WTK/2018/66 MOVED by Deputy Chairperson S Toms, seconded by Member S Tollestrup: That the Waitākere Ranges Local Board: a) receive the Big Blue Wāitakere Report.
b) circulate the final report to the Maukau Harbour Forum and member boards as well as the adjoining Rodney Local Board. |
Sectarial Note: The Board requested the front page image to be replaced with a high level satelite image for the final report.
