Resolution number HB/2018/118 MOVED by Member C Watson, seconded by Member G Holmes: That the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board: a) defer this item until staff have undertaken consultation with the Orewa Surf Club and Destination Orewa regarding the application for land owner approval to Judith Webby to operate an ice-cream van in the car park area of the Orewa Domain Recreation Reserve for a trial period of three months between December 2018 and February 2019, from 11.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. for a maximum of five days per week. |

Resolution number HB/2018/119 MOVED by Member D Cooper, seconded by Chairperson J Parfitt: That the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board: a) approve landowner approval to the applicant, Tae-Yong Jang, for the installation of a stormwater pipe and outlet structure in the unnamed reserve adjacent to 8, 10 and 12 Blue Gum Avenue, Silverdale (Lot 11 DP 36235, Blue Gum Avenue, Silverdale) subject to the granting of a resource consent for the activity b) note that the above approval neither suggests nor implies support for the current resource consent applications. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY |

Resolution number HB/2018/121 MOVED by Chairperson J Parfitt, seconded by Deputy Chairperson J Fitzgerald: That the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board: a) note the Auckland Transport July 2018 update report b) expresses concern at the loss of express and direct bus services on the Hibiscus Coast and East Coast Bays a decision based on dated public consultation c) request details of the cancelled bus routes in both Hibiscus Coast and East Coast Bays subdivisions in the local board area d) request if there is any proposal to introduce parking charges at park and rides the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board would like to be consulted and see a full public consultation process. |

Resolution number HB/2018/122 MOVED by Chairperson J Parfitt, seconded by Deputy Chairperson J Fitzgerald: That the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board: a) approve the 2018/2019 Community Facilities Work Programme as detailed in Attachments A and B b) delegate to the chairperson and deputy chairperson authority to approve minor changes to the 2018/2019 Community Facilites Work Programme. |

Resolution number HB/2018/123 MOVED by Member G Holmes, seconded by Member D Cooper: That the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board: a) note the Auckland Council Māori Language Policy 2016 Attachment A b) acknowledge the Te Kete Rukuruku programme, including the Māori naming of parks and facilities, noting that it supports the visibility of te reo Māori and seeks to capture and tell the unique Māori stories of Hibiscus and Bays and Tāmaki Makaurau c) delegate
to the chairperson and deputy chairperson to provide a list of eligible parks
and invite mana whenua to provide a Māori name and narrative for only
those parks d) note it is expected that, in most cases, the gifted names and narratives will be adopted by the local board for use as dual names to enrich the stories of parks and support the Māori language to be visible, heard, spoken and learnt.

Resolution number HB/2018/124 MOVED by Member G Holmes, seconded by Deputy Chairperson J Fitzgerald: That the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board: a) approve the new road name of Waitaha Close for the Coastal Properties Orewa Limited subdivision at 61 Riverside Road, Orewa, in accordance with section 319(1)(j) of the Local Government Act 1974 and as referenced in Attachment A to the agenda report. |

Resolution number HB/2018/126 MOVED by Member G Holmes, seconded by Chairperson J Parfitt: That the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board: a) approve the road names Hopetea Street (Road No 46), Hanikura Street (Road No 55), Fender Place (Road 39), Kina Place (Road 40), Karehu Place (Road No 45), Kumukumu Road (Road No 47), Headsail Drive (Road No 53) for the public roads and Luff Place (Private Road 2009) for the private road constructed for the subdivision being undertaken by Todd Property at Te Oneroa Road Long Bay in accordance with section 319(1)(j) of the Local Government Act 1974. |

23 Consideration of Extraordinary Items

Alison Clark |
|
|
Alison Clark was first elected to the then East Coast Bays City Council in 1983 and served two terms before being elected to the newly formed North Shore City Council in the 1989 Elections, where Alison serviced four terms, including two as Deputy Mayor. Alison had a huge heart for grass root politics and served her local East Coast Bays community well for many years, as well as establishing and running a successful childcare centre “Kids Corner” in Rothesay Bay and Albany. Alison is survived by husband Dennis and her two adult children Samuel and Alexis. |

Resolution number HB/2018/129 MOVED by Chairperson J Parfitt, seconded by Member G Holmes: That the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board: a) acknowledge the recent passing of Alison Clark of Rothesay Bay on Monday, 4 June 2018 a former East Coast Bays City Councillor, East Coast Bays Community Board member, North Shore City Councillor and Deputy Mayor and her contribution to the communities of the North Shore region. |
