Resolution number MR/2019/16 MOVED by Chairperson A Dalton, seconded by Member DP Pizzini: That the Manurewa Local Board: a) receive the written update from Member Sarah Colcord and Deputy Chair Stella Cattle. b) receive the verbal updates from the following Manurewa Local Board members: i) Dave Pizzini is concerned about the poor consultation with the Weymouth Residents Association and community over the alteration to the designation by Oranga Tamariki at Whakatakapokai. Member Pizzini and Member Colcord attended a recent community meeting and will continue to advocate on behalf of the community ii) Stella Cattle expressed her concern for the hygiene at the Manurewa Swimming Pool which is a continued concern. CAB security gate has now been installed. iii) Joseph Allen updated the board on the Keith Park consultation with council and that a stakeholder group has been created. |

Resolution number MR/2019/17 MOVED by Chairperson A Dalton, seconded by Member J Allan: That the Manurewa Local Board: a) receive the verbal report from the Manurewa Local Board Chairperson regarding: · Joint Governance Committee meeting and education on local board process · meeting with the new Chair for Panuku Development Auckland · community engagement is progressing, but illegal dumping continues to be an issue · the disappointing response from council’s Waste Solutions team regarding dumping in Clendon · meeting with the Samoan walking group morning · the proposal to build a fale in Clendon for the Manurewa community to gather · The Queensland Stadium Report as a good example of how to get a stadium to work effectively · cluster meeting with the new CAB funding model – co-designed with council and ACAB. |

Auckland Transport February 2019 update to the Manurewa Local Board |

Resolution number MR/2019/18 MOVED by Member K Penney, seconded by Member DP Pizzini: That the Manurewa Local Board: a) receive the report entitled ‘Auckland Transport February 2019 update to the Manurewa Local Board’. b) approve a further $25,000 from the board’s Local Board Transport Capital Fund to ensure urgent completion of the Northcrest toilet wrap, noting that $10,500 has already been approved for this project (under resolution MR/2018/181 on 18 October 2018). |
Secretarial note: Staff advised that the spend to date figure of $315 is incorrect for project #598 ‘Manurewa town centre clock’ (paragraph 49 in the report entitled “Auckland Transport February 2019 update”). The correct figure for spend to date is for project #598 is $36,752.

Resolution number MR/2019/19 MOVED by Member K Penney, seconded by Deputy Chairperson S Cattle: That the Manurewa Local Board: a) approve the road name ‘Mataara Lane’ for the new private way in the subdivision at 110 Alfriston Road, in accordance with Section 319(1)(j) of the Local Government Act 1974. b) approve the extension of Saralee Drive from east to west across the property. |
