Chairperson Mulholland opened the meeting and welcomed everyone present.
Resolution number WH/2019/1 MOVED by Chairperson T Mulholland, seconded by Deputy Chairperson S Zhu: That the Whau Local Board: a) accept the apology from Member D Macdonald for absence.
|
Members are reminded of the need to be vigilant to stand aside from decision making when a conflict arises between their role as a member and any private or other external interest they might have.
Specifically members are asked to identify any new interests they have not previously disclosed, an interest that might be considered as a conflict of interest with a matter on the agenda.

Te Auaunga (Oakley Creek) Middle Catchment Action Plan - Whau |

Resolution number WH/2019/7 MOVED by Chairperson T Mulholland, seconded by Member T Matafai: That the Whau Local Board: a) adopt the Te Auaunga (Oakley Creek) Middle Catchment Action Plan as presented in Attachment A to this report b) note that the Middle Catchment action plan is a responsive document and staff will actively monitor and adjust actions and plan wording to progress the achievement of intended outcomes. |

Whau Local Board Non-Contestable Funds for Extraordinary Local Support |

Resolution number WH/2019/8 MOVED by Member D Battersby, seconded by Member D Whitley: That the Whau Local Board: a) approve redirection of $750 from the unspent balance from Carols by Spiderlight event to the New Lynn Tennis Club. The balance of the original allocation is to be redirected to the Whau’s contestable community grants fund b) confirm its support to allocate $3,000 from the Whau Heritage LDI budget to the Metotisi (Methodist) Tonga New Lynn Church to support maintenance of the heritage church building at 39 Margan Avenue, New Lynn c) confirm its support to allocate $3,000 from the Whau Heritage LDI budget to be paid to the Blockhouse Bay Community Centre to support maintenance of the heritage homestead of Armanasco House, located on Gittos Domain, Blockhouse Bay c) confirm its support to allocate up to $6,000 from the Whau Heritage LDI budget to enable a new series of historic plaques in the Whau.

Resolution number WH/2019/9 MOVED by Member T Matafai, seconded by Member D Whitley: That the Whau Local Board: a) approve ‘Te Kotuitanga Lane’ for the new private road (jointly owned access lot) created by way of subdivision at 7-23 Hertford Street, Blockhouse Bay, in accordance with section 319(1)(j) of the Local Government Act 1974 (resource consent references R/JSL/2016/5404, BUN60078986 and SUB60226589) b) approve its second preference for Pou Lane should Te Kotuitanga Lane not be possible under policy.
