Resolution number MHFJC/2019/1 MOVED by Deputy Chairperson D Holm, seconded by Member A Cole: That the Manukau Harbour Forum: a) accept the apologies from Chairperson Saffron Toms, Members Joseph Allen, Angela Cunningham-Marino, Carrol Elliott and Bill McEntee for absence. |

Ian Wedding attended to speak about concerns regarding the Mangere Treatment Centre, loss of shellfish, no infrastrucutre in Arurangi Road, increase in mangroves are impacting on the harbour, waste of money cutting and not managing regrowth of mangroves and feels that council services has deteriorated. |

Councillor Josephine Bartley provided an update in the Waste bylaw – monitoring by discharges, Annual Plan submissions – 2 stage approach pipes at Western Isthmus waste, water quality issues and in Environment Court, Water strategy consultation on-going, Kaipara Harbour co governance group (Manukau Harbour not included), monitoring of trade waste discharges into Manukau Harbour and supports the work of the Forum. |

Member Tracy Mulholland requested that members support the Forum. |

Member Dawn Trenbeth attended a recycling meeting in Papatoetoe. |
|
Member Alan Cole took part in a beach clean up with community at Clarks Beach and Waiau Beach. |
|
Presiding Chair, David Holm noted that two beaches are likely to be added to the Safe Swim project. |

Resolution number MHFJC/2019/6 MOVED by Member A Cole, seconded by Member T Mulholland: That the Manukau Harbour Forum: a) delegate to the forum Chair and Deputy Chair the authority to coordinate and finalise the feedback on behalf of the forum. b) request that the forum’s feedback is circulated to all nine member local boards. c) note the Our Water Future discussion framework is out for public consultation from 17 February 2019 to 19 April 2019. |
