Business Improvement District targeted rates for Financial Year 2019/2020

That the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board:

a)      recommends to the Governing Body to strike the targeted rates for inclusion in the Annual Budget 2019/2020 for the following Business Improvement District (BID) programmes:

·      $166,000 for Glen Innes Business Association;

·      $405,000 for Onehunga Business Association; and

·      $443,895 for Panmure Business Association.

Proposed Waste Management and Minimisation Bylaw and Amendments to the Trading and Events in Public Place

 

Resolution number MT/2019/65

MOVED by Deputy Chairperson D Burrows, seconded by Member MM Meredith:  

That the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board:

a)      receive the 11 April 2019 Regulatory Committee resolution on the proposed Waste Management and Minimisation Bylaw and amendments to the Trading and Events in Public Place.

b)      endorse the proposed Waste Management and Minimisation Bylaw and amendments to the Trading and Events in Public Place and provides the following additional feedback:

·           note that the Waste Management and Minimisation Plan informs the bylaw and as part of this plan council should promote opportunities for people to dispose of waste responsibly, in particular providing solutions to dispose of waste that currently is exempt from inorganic collections such as tyres.

 

c)      note that public consultation on the proposal is scheduled from 10 May to 16 June 2019. A panel will consider any feedback, deliberate and make recommendations to the Governing Body. A final decision on any new bylaw and bylaw amendments will be made on 22 August 2019.
