a)         confirm the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Wednesday, 22 May 2019, as true and correct.

That the Kaipātiki Local Board:

a)        acknowledge National Volunteer Week, June 2019, and congratulate volunteers across Kaipātiki for their exceptional efforts in delivering positive outcomes for our communities.

Ms Allison Muriel Dobbie

 

Ms Allison Dobbie was appointed as a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to library and information management and the arts.

 

Ms Allison Dobbie is respected across New Zealand and internationally as a leader in the library, information management, and wider community sectors.

That the Kaipātiki Local Board:

a)        acknowledge and congratulate Ms Allison Muriel Dobbie for being appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit.

b)        thank Ms Dobbie for her services to library and information management and the arts.

Constable Corina Willey and Constable Luana Talalaovave were in attendance to address the board in support of this item.

 

A presentation titled ‘North Shore Police’ was tabled. A copy of the tabled presentation has been placed on the official minutes and is available on the Auckland Council website.

a)        receive the deputation noting the concerns of behaviour at Sulphur Beach Reserve and Hinemoa Park.

Memorandum of Understanding between Pest Free Kaipātiki and Auckland Council

 

Paul Prestidge, Auckland Council, and Jo Knight and Richard Hursthouse of Pest Free Kaipātiki, were in attendance to address the board in support of this item.

 

 

Resolution number KAI/2019/33

MOVED by Chairperson J Gillon, seconded by Member L Waugh:  

That the Kaipātiki Local Board:

a)        approve the Memorandum of Understanding between Pest Free Kaipātiki Restoration Society Incorporated and Auckland Council (refer to Attachment A of the agenda report).

b)        delegate the Kaipātiki Local Board Chairperson authority to sign the Memorandum of Understanding in clause a) above on behalf of the Kaipātiki Local Board.
