The Chair opened the meeting and welcomed everyone present.

That the Te Oro Committee of the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board:

a) accept the apology from Member D Burrows and Member G Thompson for absence.

4          Confirmation of Minutes

That the Te Oro Committee of the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board:

a) confirm the ordinary minutes of its meeting held on Friday, 5 April 2019 as true and correct.

6.1	Ruth Violet Fiao'o Bartley (nee Burke)
	Resolution number TE /2019/8 MOVED by Chairperson C Makoare, seconded by Member T Moala: That the Te Oro Committee of the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board: a)        would like to acknowledge the passing of Mrs Ruth Violet Fiao'o Bartley            (nee Burke), the mother of Councillor Josephine Bartley. Thoughts and            prayers are with the family at this time. CARRIED

6.2	Petelo Esekielu and Mary-Ann Pearce
	Resolution number TE /2019/9 MOVED by Chairperson C Makoare, seconded by Member T Moala: That the Te Oro Committee of the Maungakiekie-Tamaki Local Board: a)         would like to acknowledge Petelo Esekielu and Mary-Ann Pearce for             their service at Te Oro, and wish them well in their new ventures. CARRIED

Herbs - Songs of Freedom

Resolution number TE /2019/10 MOVED by Member E Karaka, seconded by Chairperson C Makoare: That the Te Oro Committee of the Maungakiekie-Tamaki Local Board: a)         would like to acknowledge local artist and actor, Mr John Dilworth             Karaka and the release of his new film, Herbs – Songs of Freedom on 3             August at the Civic Theatre during the New Zealand International Film             Festival. CARRIED

	Resolution number TE /2019/11 MOVED by Chairperson C Makoare, seconded by Member MM Meredith: That the Te Oro Committee of the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board: a)      receive the Te Oro Activity Report Quarter Three 2018/2019 (Attachment A to the agenda report). CARRIED
