a)         confirm the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Tuesday, 25 June 2019 as true and correct.

Resolution number DTCF/2019/22

MOVED by Deputy Chairperson G Gillon, seconded by Member M Cohen:  

That the Devonport-Takapuna Local Board Community Forum:

a)         request that the matters detailed in the tabled report from residents of Seacliffe Avenue and Hamana Street be referred to the Chief Executive of Auckland Transport requesting an early report on traffic noise  caused by the chip seal and the dangers of cars running through these areas at high speeds.

b)         request that Auckland Transport undertake more thorough traffic counts and speed checks in the area during peak traffic.

c)         request Auckland Transport to investigate with urgency the installation of a pedestrian crossing on or near the intersection of Hamana Street and Old Lake Road for the walking school bus and walking safety.

d)         request Auckland Transport to investigate with urgency the installation of chicanes designed to reduce speed and improve safety along Hamana Street and Seacliffe Avenue.

e)         note that the submitters raised a service request to Auckland Transport on 23 June 2019 for these streets to be resurfaced from chip seal to asphalt concrete.

f)          receive the presentation from Julie Picot, Birgit Green and Russel Green and thank them for their attendance.

MOVED by Member J O'Connor, seconded by Member J McKenzie:  

That the Devonport-Takapuna Local Board Community Forum:

a)         recommend that the incoming local board post-election in October consider the tabled proposal for a recreational park at Barrys Point Reserve comprising of  skatepark, pump track and hard stand ball play area for inclusion in the 2020/2023 Local Board Plan.

b)         receive the presentation from Wensley Petterson and Jan Davidge and thank them for their attendance
