Brown:
That the Waiheke
Transport Forum:
a)
note the report on the outcome of resolutions and actions of
the Transport Forum.
b)
note the safety concerns on Waiheke roads, given the large
increase in numbers of electric bikes and scooters and requests Auckland
Transport recognise and address this issue. e.g. through a Waiheke
specific bylaw, island wide speed reduction etc.
c)
recommend that at the next Transport Forum a representative
from Auckland Transport be invited to discuss appropriate cycling
infrastructure for Waiheke.

Transport Forum:
d) recommend
any new alterations of the bus map is consulted with the Local Board
staff and Auckland Transport and includes a list of local amenities such as
Be Accessible facilities.
e) seek
formal response on the status of the Be Accessible report update from the
new Waiheke Local Board.

a) recommend
option three where the forum retains its current
status as a sub committee
of the local board but adopts a new meeting structure with alternating
business meetings and workshops.
