Co-Chairperson Nicola MacDonald commissioned two Kahu Korari / Pake (woven capes) and gifted these for the Co-Chairpersons as a symbol of the enduring relationship and commitment to uphold the values and aspirations to protect our taonga tuku iho, the Hauraki Gulf. The Tangata Whenua members named the capes Tīkapa Moana and Te Moananui ā Toi, representing the interconnectedness of the ocean and people.
