Resolution number CIV/2020/17 MOVED by Cr T Mulholland, seconded by Deputy Chairperson W Walker: That the Civil Defence and Emergency Management Committee: a) receive the November 2020 update on Auckland Emergency Management project activities. b) agree to a progress update on the review of the forward work programme to be received by the Civil Defence and Emergency Management Committee at its first quarterly meeting in 2021. c) request a report be prepared for distribution to the Committee at the February 2021 meeting, covering Forward Work Programme engagement with Maori. d) thank Greg Morgan, Group Welfare Manager, the Welfare Team and the whole Auckland Emergency Management team for their work during the Covid-19 response and recovery specifically for their work in the communities and supporting the community groups delivering essential activities. e) congratulate Auckland Emergency Management staff and volunteers from across the Auckland Council family on winning a first place award in the 2020 ALGIM Special Awards in the Supportive Team – All of Council category, for exercising leadership and innovation during COVID-19. |
