Deputy Chairperson Grant Crawford welcomed public, press and members, and noted Chairperson Bianca Ranson would not be attending the meeting and that he would act as Chair for the evening.
Forum members opened the meeting with a karakia.

Resolution number WAI/2020/78 MOVED by Member B Upchurch, seconded by Member R Tucker: That the Waiheke Transport Forum: a) note the informal discussion items. i. Meeting with Auckland Transport on the Matiatia Landside Improvements. o Discussions ongoing with mana whenua. o Consultation on concepts is scheduled for 2021. o Forum has submitted nine point feedback via AT engagement officer. o Discussion with Kevin Jones of Auckland Transport and Phil Harrison of WSP on feedback points made.
ii. Update on Matiatia Parking Issues. o Request has been made from the Waiheke Local Board to Auckland Transport for a walk around on site and they invite Transport Forum to be part of this. Staff to collate Waiheke Transport Forum members interests prior to site visit. o Is potential to identify projects to tweak trial improvement items such as temporary signage, lighting, shelter utilising Waiheke Local Board Auckland Transport Capital fund.
iii. Creating a vision for the Waiheke Transport Forum. o 10 year plan, Pathways Plan and Design Guidelines (in development) give direction. o Opportunity to create a Forum vision and purpose in its role as a sub-committee in early 2021. o Current Forum Terms of Reference to be recirculated iv. Analysis of AT data about bus passenger numbers. o Initial data received at a gross level. Forum sort to understand more nuanced usage following changes in bus network so seeking passenger numbers at bus stops. o Opportunity for Forum to review to inform a position to Auckland Transport as will likely be a schedule review in early 2021. o All members have data, Member Norm Robins to lead review of data.
iii. Principles of a Waiheke Design Manual Part 2 – utilising Norm Robbins draft (Attachment A) o Items have been further updated. o Members to come together for a specific workshop - proposed to be scheduled for Thursday 19 November 2020 at 5pm, AT staff to be invited to participate.
