The members of the club will have increased comfort levels when they
are using the rescue craft (dinghy). They will be able to ask for extra
assistance if required. |
Alignment with local board priorities: |
· Encourage access to and participation in local events and arts activities
We are looking to increase our health and safety capabilities by ensuring all those who are on the rescue craft are also in radio contact with the shore based team. This will increase the new members level of comfort and encourage more people to come radio sailing. Also being on the Westhaven boardwalk with many people passing by, increased safety equipment, reassures the public. |

We believe for our performers, this can be a chance to be involved in the community and a great way to revive from any cancelations they have been discouraged from earlier in the year. Audiences who do not have the opportunity in their daily lives to experience live music and performances can have the chance to enjoy it in open space. |
Alignment with local board priorities: |
· Provide spaces and places that enable our diverse communities to connect, and feel welcome
Our aspiration is to bring positive energy to our community in our dark times. This will be achieved through various groups from diverse cultures to perform alongside together. We believe this can portrait the ideal multicultural environment of New Zealand. Also as our event is proposed in a open space, people who may not experience live performances in their daily lives can be given the chance to enjoy. As our community has gone through a isolated lonesome period, we feel the need to comfort through art and culture. The fortunateness Of New Zealand being able to gather and connect in the pandemics of the world can be fully benefitted through our event. |

Alignment with local board priorities: |
· Encourage access to and participation in local events and arts activities
We wish to manage and activate the council-owned Station Square shops (named Newmarket Station Studio 1 & 2) and oversee a range of events in both sites. As part of our ongoing COVID-19 response, we would like to run an ongoing series of events in both shops. The events will likely have an arts focus with the primary focus of bringing people, our communities, together. This will help increase foot traffic into the Station Square area. |
