Election of Youth Advisory Panel co-chairs for the 2019 - 2022 term

 

The Youth Advisory Panel:

a)      noted that the co-chairs were elected by closed ballot, as agreed at a previous panel workshop.

b)      elected Member Chris Balzat and Member Murali Magesan as the co-chairs of the Youth Advisory Panel.

Introduction to Youth Advisory Panel members

 

Note:   The Youth Advisory Panel welcomed Taric Speir, as a new panel member, and acknowledged and thanked Xavier Breed previous panel member.

The Panel also acknowledged and thanked Sara Harris previous Lead Officer of the panel for her work. 

 

The Youth Advisory Panel:

a)      noted the introduction of Youth Advisory Panel members.

10-year Budget 2021-2031 - Process overview

 

A PowerPoint presentation was provided. A copy has been placed on the official minutes and is available on the Auckland Council website as a minutes attachment.

 

MOVED by Member V Maka, seconded by Member C Balzat:  

The Youth Advisory Panel:

a)      noted the presentation on the 10-year Budget.

b)      confirmed they would like to present to the Finance and Performance Committee workshop on 21 April 2021 on their feedback.

c)       thanked Ross Tucker, General Manager Financial Strategy and Planning, for his presentation.

 

Note:    the Panel agreed they would organise a submission on the 10-year Budget.

Developing the Youth Advisory Panel's strategic action plan

 

The Youth Advisory Panel:

a)      noted the timeline, focus and possible priorities to develop and confirm its strategic action plan.

b)      noted that the strategic action plan will be presented to the May 2021 meeting of Auckland Council’s Parks, Arts, Community and Events Committee for endorsement.
