Members are reminded of the need to be vigilant to stand aside from decision making when a conflict arises between their role as a member and any private or other external interest they might have.
There were no declarations of interest.
3 Confirmation of Minutes

a) confirmed the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Monday, 15 February 2021, as a true and correct record.

There was no general business.
The lead officer assumed the Chair at 1.06pm.

Election of Seniors Advisory Panel co-chairs for the 2019 - 2022 term |

Note: changes to the original motion, adding clause c), was made with the agreement of the meeting. |

|
Resolution number SEN/2021/5 MOVED by Member J Smyth, seconded by Member Z Fazelnia: That the Seniors Advisory Panel: a) note that the co-chairs will be elected by closed ballot, as agreed at a previous panel workshop. b) agree that the co-chairs will be elected using voting system B (as described in Schedule 7, Clause 25 of the Local Government Act 2002). c) agree that the second co-chair be elected by closed ballot. d) elect the co-chairs. |
· Member Jay Reid was elected as co-chair during the first round of voting, receiving the highest number of votes. The other three candidates received equal votes each. Subsequently, the panel agreed to hold a second vote by closed ballot to elect the second co-chair.
· The overall result of the election was that Member Gayle Marshall and Member Jay Reid were elected as co-chairs of the Seniors Advisory Panel.
6 Consideration of General Business Items
There was no consideration of general business items.
The co-chairs assumed the chair at 1.28pm.
1.28 pm The Chairperson thanked Members for their attendance and attention to business and declared the meeting closed.
