Co-Chairperson Tangata Whenua Ms Nicola MacDonald welcomed everyone to the meeting and introduced Ms Charmaine Bailie, Tangata Whenua who was attending her first meeting. She also welcomed Cr Caitlin Casey, alternate member for Matamata-Piako District Council and Mr Luke Coles, alternate member for Aotea / Great Barrier Local Board (Auckland Council).
The co-chairpersons took turns to chair agenda items. Ms N MacDonald chaired items 1 to 5, 7, 9, and 11 and Cr P Coom chaired items 6, 8 and 10.

Resolution number HGF/2021/17 MOVED by Co-Chairperson Tangata Whenua Ms N MacDonald, seconded by Member S Milne: That the Hauraki Gulf Forum: a) note the report. b) agree to amend the review cycle for the Governance Statement to every 3 years c) agree to continue an annual review of the Work Plan (2020-2022) d) agree to include in the Work Plan, advocacy for updating and strengthening the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park Act 2000 as part of the Resource Management Act and other legislative reforms. |
