Minutes of an extraordinary meeting of the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board held in the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board Office, Shop 17B, 93 Bader Drive, Māngere on Wednesday, 5 May 2021 at 5.00pm.

Decision-making responsibilities policy

Resolution number MO/2021/53 MOVED by Chairperson L Sosene, seconded by Deputy Chairperson N Bakulich: That the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board: a)      endorse the draft Decision-making Responsibilities of Auckland Council’s Governing Body and local boards policy. b)      does not endorse the proposed approach on area plans and agrees with the members of the Joint Governance Working Party that supported delegation of area plan adoption to local boards as they are local in nature and impact, and developed and reviewed by local boards a) request that Auckland Transport significantly accelerates piloting delegations to local boards on issues such as street trading, place shaping and town centre design. CARRIED

5	Local board consultation feedback and input into the 10-year Budget 2021-2031
	The local board advocacy initiatives for inclusion (as an appendix) to its 2021/2022 Local Board Agreement, Attachment A and input on the regional topics in the proposed 10-year Budget 2021-2031 Attachment B were tabled at the meeting. Copies has been placed on the official minutes and is available on the Auckland Council website as a minute attachment.
	Resolution number MO/2021/54 MOVED by Chairperson L Sosene, seconded by Member H Toleafoa: That the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board: a)      receive consultation feedback on the proposed Mangere-Otahuhu Local Board priorities and activities for 2021/2022 and key advocacy initiatives for 2021-2031 b)      receive consultation feedback on regional topics in the 10-year Budget 2021-2031 from people and organisations based in the Mangere-Otahuhu Local Board area c)      approve its advocacy initiatives for inclusion (as an appendix) to its 2021/2022 Local Board Agreement, tabled at the meeting – Attachment A, with the addition of the completion of the Ōtāhuhu Streetscape Project and the maintenance of current funding to the  Māngere Mountain Education Trust d)      endorse the feedback  on regional topics in the proposed 10-year Budget 2021-2031 to the Governing Body, tabled at the meeting – Attachment B e)       delegate to the Chair any minor amendments to the feedback in Attachment B. CARRIED
