Extraordinary Business - Trish Fordyce - National Environmental Standards for Plantation Forestry review

 

Pursuant to Standing Order 2.4.6, the meeting agreed to receive a verbal update relating to the National Environmental Standards for Plantation Forestry.

 

 

 

Member Wilma Foster joined the meeting at 12.38pm.

 

 

 

The chairperson accorded precedence to Item 12 – Consideration of Extraordinary Business at this time.

Member Trish Fordyce raised the Report on the Year One Review of the National Environmental Standards for Plantation Forestry (prepared for Te Uru Rākau, April 2021) which was tabled at the meeting.

Tāmaki Makaurau Fire Plan

 

Thomas Harré, Principal Rural Fire Officer, Auckland – Fire and Emergency New Zealand gave an overview of the Tāmaki Makaurau Fire Plan.  A PowerPoint presentation was given.  A copy has been placed on the official minutes and is available on the Auckland Council website as a minutes attachment.

That the Rural Advisory Panel:

a)      receive the presentation from Fire and Emergency New Zealand on the draft Tāmaki Makaurau Fire Plan.

b)      thank Thomas Harré, Principal Rural Fire Officer, Auckland – Fire and Emergency New Zealand for his presentation.

c)      agree to inform their organisations on the opportunity to provide a submission on the draft Tāmaki Makaurau Fire Plan.
