That the Kaipātiki Local Board:

a)         confirm the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Wednesday, 28 April 2021, as true and correct.

a)         congratulate Mrs Helen Varney for being awarded as a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2021 for services to education, particularly Pacific education.

North Harbour Community Patrol

 

Jane Hunter, Operations Coordinator, was in attendance to address the board in support of this item.

 

A certificate of appreciation from North Harbour Community Patrol to the Kaipātiki Local Board was tabled. A copy of the certificate has been placed on the official minutes and is available on the Auckland Council website as a minutes attachment.

Chelsea stormwater ponds short-term water quality improvement plan

 

Resolution number KAI/2021/41

MOVED by Chairperson J Gillon, seconded by Member P Gillon:  

That the Kaipātiki Local Board:

a)         consider an item for extraordinary busines, put forward by the Chairperson regarding Chelsea stormwater ponds short-term water quality improvement plan at Item 15 on the agenda, for the following reasons:

i)          the board were only distributed the memo on Chelsea stormwater ponds short-term water quality improvement plan on Tuesday 22 June, and feedback is required by Friday 25 June in order for the work to take place over winter.

Member Cindy Schmidt provided a verbal update on the water meeting run by WEEPS (Wairau Estuary and Environment Protection Society) and held at the Pupuke Golf Course.

Chelsea stormwater ponds short-term water quality improvement plan

 

A document titled “Memo on Chelsea stormwater ponds short-term water quality improvement plan” was tabled. A copy of the tabled document has been placed on the official minutes and is available on the Auckland Council website as a minutes attachment.
