Chair Apulu Reece Autagavaia welcomed everyone to the meeting.

That the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board:

a)         accept the apologies from members Choudhary and Roberston for absence.

Re-allocation of unspent Locally Driven Initiatives Funding 2020/21 to support recovery from the tornado in Papatoetoe

 

Resolution number OP/2021/105

MOVED by Chairperson R Autagavaia, seconded by Deputy Chairperson D Trenberth:  

That the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board:

a)         allocate up to $60,000 from the board’s unspent 2020/2021 locally driven initiatives opex budge[CM1] t as detailed in the table below to the Mayoral Relief Fund to support residents affected by the tornado that occurred in Papatoetoe on 19 June 2021

b)        request that the criteria for the Mayoral Relief Fund be expanded from “individuals and residents of Auckland who have been affected by the Papatoetoe tornado” to “individuals and residents of Auckland who have been affected by the Papatoetoe tornado and any local groups supporting the community recovery from this event”

c)         request that the group assessing applications and allocating the funding for the Mayoral Relief Fund consist of at least one member of the Otara-Papatoetoe Local Board

d)        nominate the Chair and Deputy Chair as an alternate as the board’s representative on the group assessing applications and allocating the Mayoral Relief Fund as per resolution c) above

e)         circulate the board’s resolutions to His Worship the Mayor Phil Goff for action and Councillor Filipaina and Councillor Collins for their attention.
