Chairperson I Fordham opened the hui and welcomed attendees. Member V Toki led the meeting in karakia.

Deputy Chairperson L Coles declared an interest in respect to the grant applications of Saskia Koerner (Aotea Boardriders Club Incorporated as umbrella group) and Aotea Education Trust at item 11 – Aotea / Great Barrier Local and Capital Grants Round One 2021/2022 grant allocation report.

Member S Daly declared an interest in respect to the grant application of the Aotea Education Trust at item 11 – Aotea / Great Barrier Local and Capital Grants Round One 2021/2022 grant allocation report.

Member V Toki declared an interest in respect to the grant applications of Ngatiwai O Aotea Kawa Marae Trust at item 11 – Aotea / Great Barrier Local and Capital Grants Round One 2021/2022 grant allocation report.

Aotea / Great Barrier Local Board feedback for inclusion in Auckland Council Submission on managing our wetlands.

That the Aotea / Great Barrier Local Board:

a)          note feedback (Attachment A to the report) provided on the government’s Managing Our Wetlands amendment proposal to inform Auckland Council’s submission.

Note:   As per Aotea / Great Barrier Local Board revised standing order 1.9.7 Member S Daly requested that her dissenting vote against lines #6 and #8 of the Aotea / Great Barrier Local Board’s response to the consultation question (pages 116 & 117 of the agenda) to the government’s Managing Our Wetlands amendment proposal, be recorded.
