Ki runga, ki raro, ki roto, ki waho

Rire, rire hau…pai marire

The board wishes to thank the Waiheke RSA for hosting a thoughtful and well planned local memorial service for Her Majesty the late Queen Elizabeth II, and for ensuring all those who wished to mark the occasion were not only warmly welcomed but were also graciously hosted for a community morning tea.

Kim Goldwater

The Waiheke Local Board acknowledged the passing of Kim Goldwater, founder of Goldwater Vineyard with his late wife Jeanette. They will be remembered as pioneers in the winemaking industry and ambassadors for the island. The couple had an enduring reputation as being helpful and generous, as demonstrated by their gifting of the vineyard to the University of Auckland to support wine science programmes.
