            Glenn Boyd, Local Area Manager for Ōrakei Local Board opened the meeting and welcomed those present.

Election of Chairperson

 

Glenn Boyd, Local Area Manager, Ōrakei Local Board gave an overview of the voting systems and requested a mover and seconder for the voting system.

 

 

 

Resolution number MHFJC/2023/3

MOVED by Member A Cole, seconded by Member K Thomas:  

That the Manukau Harbour Forum:

a)         elect a Chairperson for the 2022 – 2025 political term using System B of Schedule 7, Part 1, Clause 25 of the Local Government Act 2002.

 

CARRIED

 

 

 

Glenn Boyd, Local Area Manager Ōrakei Local Board, called for nominations for the Chairperson role for the 2022-2025 political term and requested a mover and seconder.

 

 

 

Member K Thomas nominated Member J Turner as Chairperson for the 2022-2025 political term of the Manukau Harbour Forum.

 

 

 

Member J Allan seconded the nomination.

 

 

 

There were no further nominations.

Election of Deputy Chairperson

 

Chairperson J Turner requested a mover and seconder for the voting system for the election of the Deputy Chairperson for the 2022-2025 political term.

That the Manukau Harbour Forum:

a)      elect a Deputy Chairperson for the 2022-2025 political term using System B of Schedule 7, Part 1, Clause 25 of the Local Government Act 2002.

The Chairperson, called for nominations for the Deputy Chairperson for the 2022-2025 political term of the Manukau Harbour Forum.

 

 

 

Member K Thomas nominated Member A Cole as Deputy Chairperson for the 2022-2025 political term of the Manukau Harbour Forum.

Manukau Harbour Forum coordinator's report

 

Julie Chambers, Manukau Harbour Forum Coordinator, spoke to her reports.  A further presentation was tabled that will be added as a Minutes Attachment.

 

 

Resolution number MHFJC/2023/8

MOVED by Chairperson J Turner, seconded by Deputy Chairperson A Cole:   

That the Manukau Harbour Forum:

a)         receive the MHF co-ordinator’s report for the periods; 1-31 August 2022, 1- 30 September 2022, 1-31 October 2022, 1-30 November 2022, 1-30 December 2022 and 1-30 January 2023.

b)        request the coordinator work with council staff to bring a report on the boat ramps of Manukau Harbour to a future workshop and business meeting.

c)         thank Julie Chambers for her sterling work over the past 6 months.
