Many of our local schools participated and the following schools were awarded the following placings:

Congratulations to the Tangaroa College Girls’ Kilikiti team who are the Champions of Tamaki Makaurau.
Auckland Emergency
Acknowledge all those people who continued to be involved in the emergency response and recovery stages of these weather events: from our emergency services, our NZ defence forces, our emergency management team, Auckland Council staff, especially our local Council staff who volunteered, our community organisations, non-governmental organisations, churches, sports clubs, and the families and individual members of the public. Thank you for rallying together to help and support our people and one another.
Barbara Carney of the Beautification Trust
In 1997 Barbara was the leader of the St Elizabeth's Anglican Church youth group, which started a community volunteering programme to clean up graffiti in Clendon, which led to the establishment of the Manukau Beautification Charitable Trust in 2001. One of Barbara's most significant achievements is Eye on Nature. Barbara led the first Eye on Nature School Days in 2012, and grew the programme with the introduction of the annual Whānau Day, as well as the Creative Arts and Wearable Arts competitions. Barbara is now retiring after 18 years of employment at the Beautification Trust and an even longer legacy of service to South Auckland communities.
