Appointment of Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson

The Head of Co-governance called for nominations for the position of Chairperson.

Ted Ngataki (Ngāti Tamaoho) nominated Karen Wilson (Te Ākitai Waiohua) for the Chairperson role.

Zaelene Maxwell (Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki) seconded the nomination.

Karen Wilson accepted the nomination. There were no further nominations.

MOVED by Member T Ngataki, seconded by Member Z Maxwell-Butler:

That the Pukekiwiriki Paa Joint Management Committee:

a) appoint Karen Wilson as Chairperson of the Pukekiwiriki Paa Joint Management Committee.

The chairperson called for nominations for the position of deputy chairperson.

Kelvin Hieatt nominated Brent Catchpole for the deputy chairperson role.

Jan Robinson seconded the nomination.

Brent Catchpole accepted the nomination. There were no further nominations.

That the Pukekiwiriki Paa Joint Management Committee:

a) acknowledge the committee’s existing Terms of Reference and Standing Orders were adopted in 2014, with the Terms of Reference last amended in 2019

b) continue to operate within the general intent of the Terms of Reference and Standing Orders

c) request staff to consider input from the committee and propose updated Terms of Reference and Standing Orders for formal adoption at the next meeting.
