Chairperson I Fordham opened the meeting and welcomed everyone in attendance. Deputy Chairperson P O’Shea led the hui in a karakia.

Chairperson I Fordham declared an interest in respect to the grant application of Windy Hill Rosalie Bay Catchment Trust at item 11 – Aotea / Great Barrier Local and Capital Grants Round Two 2022/2023 grant allocations report.

Deputy Chairperson P O’Shea declared an interest in respect to the grant application of Great Barrier Island Sports & Social Club at item 11 – Aotea / Great Barrier Local and Capital Grants Round Two 2022/2023 grant allocations report.

Extraordinary Business - Local Crime Fund

MOVED by Chairperson I Fordham, seconded by Member C Ollivier:  

That the Aotea / Great Barrier Local Board:

a)            consider an extraordinary item regarding Local Crime Fund at item 15.1 of this agenda:

i)      the reason this item was not included on the agenda is that the matter came to our attention after the close of the agenda.

ii)    the reason for urgency is that the local board feedback is due on 28 April 2023 which is before the local board’s next ordinary business meeting scheduled on Tuesday 23 May 2023.

iii)   the meeting agreed to consider the report entitled “Local Board feedback on distribution method of the Local Crime Fund” under item 15.1 Consideration of Extraordinary Items.

Chairperson I Fordham declared an interest in this item and took no part in the discussion or voting on the local grant application of Windy Hill Rosalie Bay Catchment Trust.

Deputy Chair P O’Shea declared an interest in this item and took no part in the discussion or voting on the local grant application of Great Barrier Island Sports & Social Club.

a)      note / tuhi ā-taipitopito the Hōtaka Kaupapa (Policy Schedule) for the political term 2022-2025 as at April 2023.

b)      whakaae / approve the addition of an extraordinary meeting date to the 2022-2025 Local Board meeting schedule to accommodate the Local Board Plan 2023 on Tuesday 12 September 2023 at 1.00pm to be held at the Aotea / Great Barrier Local Board office, 81 Hector Sanderson Road, Claris.
