b)         tono / request Auckland Transport to provide an update on:

i)               its assessment of the negative impacts of closing the O’Neill’s Road pedestrian level crossing

ii)             options for a best practice pedestrian crossing

iii)           its approach to provide meaningful consultation with local residents as requested in this presentation.

Waitākere Ranges Heritage Area Five-year Monitoring Report 2023

 

Eryn Shields, Team Leader Planning, and Raewyn Curran, Senior Policy Planner were in attendance to speak of this item.

MOVED by Member M Allen, seconded by Chairperson G Presland:  

That the Waitākere Ranges Local Board:

a)          generally endorse the Waitākere Ranges Heritage Area Five-year Monitoring Report 2022 and refer the report to the Planning, Environment and Parks Committee for approval.

b)         tautapa / delegate authority to the Local Board Chair to provide Local Board feedback to the Manager Planning, Regional, Northwest and Islands to make any minor amendments and to provide the message from Waitākere Ranges Local Board Chair Greg Presland to the Waitākere Ranges Five-year Monitoring Report 2023 prior to approval by the Planning, Environment and Parks Committee.

c)          tono / request that the Governing Body and Senior Managers strongly consider the Waitākere Ranges Heritage Area Five-year Monitoring Report 2022 and its findings during the development of the 2024-2034 Long-term Plan.

d)         whakamihi / thank Raewyn Curran, Senior Policy Planner and Eryn Shields, Team Leader Planning and other staff for their hard work in preparing the Waitākere Ranges Heritage Area Five-year Monitoring Report 2022.

Endorsing Business Improvement District (BID) targeted rate grants for 2023/2024

That the Waitākere Ranges Local Board:

a)          whaikupu / recommend to the Governing Body the setting of the targeted rates for inclusion in the Annual Budget 2023/2024 for the following Business Improvement District (BID) programme:

i)           $95,000 for Glen Eden BID.

b)         whakataha / reallocate $5,000 from the 2022/2023 Local Civic Events budget (work programme ID 459) and $4,800 from the 2022/2023 Anzac Services budget (work programme ID 458) to Youth: Build Capacity (work programme ID 445).

c)          whakataha / reallocate $8,000 from the Event partnership fund (work programme ID 461) to Move the relocatable pump track (work programme ID 3602).
