Resolution number ADCCC/2023/11 MOVED by Chairperson D Simpson, seconded by Deputy Chairperson S Trotman: That the Komiti mō te Papa Rēhia o Pukekawa / Auckland Domain Committee: a) ohia / endorse the proposed Parks & Community Facilities Regional Work Programme for Pukekawa / Auckland Domain 2023-2026 as set out in Attachment A to this report. b) tuhi ā-taipitopito / note the tight financial context within which Auckland Council is currently operating, and that there will be an opportunity to reconsider the programme and budgets through the Long-term Plan 2024-2034 process. |

Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and associated tree planting |

Resolution number ADCCC/2023/12 MOVED by Chairperson D Simpson, seconded by Member A Bonham: That the Auckland Domain Committee: a) whakaae / agree to give landowner approval for the permanent tree planting of the ‘Kings Tree’ and plaque installation at the bottom of the Domain Lawn/ Field of Remembrance; b) whakaae / approve officers obtaining a resource consent and an archaeological authority (if required) for the permanent tree planting and plaque installation; c) whakaae / approve the permanent tree planting and plaque installation take place following consent and archaeological authority (if required). d) tuhi ā-taipitopito / note that all costs associated with the King’s Coronation tree planting including the resource consent, will be met by central government (Department of Internal Affairs). |

Resolution number ADCCC/2023/13 MOVED by Chairperson D Simpson, seconded by Member A Bonham: That the Auckland Domain Committee: a) whiwhi / receive the Auckland Domain – general and financial update report. b) tuhi ā-taipitopito / note that further projects in this year’s work programme have been completed ahead of schedule and under budget. c) tuhi ā-taipitopito / note that the further heavy rain event that occurred on Tuesday 9 May resulted in minimal pooling on the sports fields. d) tuhi ā-taipitopito / note that the Wintergardens upgrade included the installation of upgraded ramps at the entrances, in order to meet accessibility requirements. f) tuhi ā-taipitopito / note that the preparation of a tree planting plan for Pukekawa Auckland Domain is in progress, and that this plan will include the replacement of trees that fell during the recent severe weather events. g) tono / request staff develop a planting plan to mitigate impact of water running off the Domain on surrounding property and infrastructure, particularly to the North. |
