Islands to make any minor amendments to the Waitākere Ranges Five-year
Monitoring Report 2023 prior to publication.
c) acknowledge the
need to move more quickly on the issues raised in the Monitoring Report and
include this in the Long-term Plan discussions.

2008 and Litter Act 1979.

where the making available of the information would be likely to prejudice
the supply of similar information or information from the same source and
it is in the public interest that such information should continue to be
supplied.

- The withholding of the information is necessary to protect information
which is subject to an obligation of confidence or which any person has

where the making available of the information would be likely to damage the
public interest.
In
particular, the report contains reference to a culturally significant site
to Mana Whenua and tribal knowledge on both the effects and risks
associated with development in the area. This information has been provided
to Council in confidence by Mana Whenua representatives and confidentiality
is necessary to maintain the supply of similar cultural information in the
future. The public release of the nominated site extent ahead of detailed
investigation and notification could result in activities being undertaken
which might compromise the Māori cultural values the site holds.
