MOVED by Deputy Chairperson D Simpson, seconded by Member S Milne:  

That the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Reserves Board:

a)         accept the apology from Member Wyllis Maihi for absence and Member Alec Hawke for lateness.

Operations Report

 

Resolution number NGA/2023/10

MOVED by Deputy Chairperson D Simpson, seconded by Cr A Dalton:  

That the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Reserves Board:

a)      note the operational updates as detailed in this report.

b)      approve the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei and Revive Our Gulf signage for the The Ōkahu Bay mussel beds and location of signage installation at the western and eastern end of Ōkahu Bay.

c)      note that 11K will be spent to recover the expenses incurred by the flooding at Ōkahu Bay and approved under delegation by the Kaiwhakahaere Te Waka Tai-ranga-whenua, Auckland Council and Chief Executive Officer, Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Trust.

d)      receive the request from the O’Brien family to install a remembrance of some kind at Michael Joseph Savage.

That the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Reserves Board:

a)      note the project update reports

i)          Combined Reserve Management Plan

ii)         Urupā

iii)       Pourewa Pathways & Signage Phase 3

iv)       Pourewa Nursery Expansion

v)         Renewals and Upgrades Pourewa and Whenua Rangatira

vi)       Pourewa Storm Damage – Remediation and Preventative Works

Financial Update as at 31 May 2023

 

Note:   changes to the original motion, adding new clauses b) and c), were made with the agreement of the meeting.

 

Resolution number NGA/2023/12

MOVED by Member S Milne, seconded by Member A Hawke:  

That the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Reserves Board:

a)      receive the financial report as at 31 May 2023

b)      note the current underspend is a result of timing, weather events, and COVID-19 pandemic. This underspend will likely be resolved no later than the first quarter 2023/ 24.

c)      approve all of the repair and upgrades, largely at Pourewa, totalling $542,250 would be carried out from the Whenua Rangatira CAPEX budget line
