Resolution number GB/2023/107 MOVED by Cr S Stewart, seconded by Deputy Mayor D Simpson: That the Governing Body: a) tuhi-ā-taipitopito / note progress with development of the Tāmaki Makaurau Recovery Plan, including the proposed blue-green network areas. b) tono / request staff to provide advice at the 27 July Governing Body meeting on how valuations and rating may change from 1 July 2023 for properties that remain uninhabitable as a result of the severe weather events in the first half of 2023, and for the advice to include information on available rates relief mechanisms. |

Resolution number GB/2023/108 MOVED by Cr A Baker, seconded by Cr W Walker: That the Governing Body: a) whakaae / agree that any reorganisation of local boards is considered under the provisions of the “unitary authority-led reorganisation application” of the proposed Schedule 3A to the Local Government Act 2002 b) tuhi ā-taipitopito / note that these provisions include requirements for the council to consider the views and preferences of affected local boards and to demonstrate community support for a reorganisation plan c) tautohu / refer to the Joint Governance Working Party the development of a reorganisation plan, or options for reorganisation plans, for recommendation back to the Governing Body so that the Governing Body may then decide whether to proceed further, including whether to undertake public consultation. |

MOVED by Cr A Filipaina, seconded by Cr K Leoni: That the Governing Body: a) whakaae / agree to amend resolution number GB/2023/70 clause c) from the 27 April 2023 meeting to consult by no later than 1 August 2023 to read: “whakaae / agree to consult in August 2023 in order to meet the 23 November 2023 Local Electoral Act 2001 deadline, noting that the consultation material and timeline will be reported to the Governing Body for approval at a future Governing Body meeting.” b) whakaae / approve the consultation material for Māori seats for Auckland Council (Attachments A and B of the agenda report) c) whakaae / agree, that subject to amending the consultation material, to remove all references to the Independent Māori Statutory Board and tautapa / delegate responsibility to the Mayor and Councillors Filipaina and Leoni to approve the final form of the consultation material for Māori seats for Auckland Council d) tuhi ā-taipitopito / note that staff will report consultation feedback to the Governing Body in October 2023, where a decision will be sought on Māori seats for Auckland Council for the 2025 local elections.

Resolution number GB/2023/116 MOVED by Mayor W Brown, seconded by Deputy Mayor D Simpson: a) whakaae / agree that Mr. Phil Wilson, Director Governance and CCO Partnerships be appointed as Acting Chief Executive effective from 1 July 2023 until the new Chief Executive commences. b) tautapa / delegate to the Acting Chief Executive all council responsibilities, duties, and powers that were previously delegated to the Chief Executive, and authorise Mr. Wilson to have all functions, duties and powers conferred on the Chief Executive, or principal administrative officer, of Auckland Council by statute or otherwise. c) whakaae / agree that the decisions only be restated but the report and any attachment remain confidential.
