Adoption of the Waitākere Ranges Local Board Agreement 2023/2024 |

Resolution number WTK/2023/68 MOVED by Chairperson G Presland, seconded by Member L Potauaine: That the Waitākere Ranges Local Board: a) whai / adopt the local content for the Annual Budget, which includes the Waitākere Ranges Local Board Agreement 2023/2024, the message from the chair, and approved local board advocacy (Attachment A). b) whai / adopt a local fees and charges schedule for 2023/2024 (Attachment B). c) tautapa / delegate authority to the Chair to make any final changes to the local content for the Annual Budget 2023/2024 (the Waitākere Ranges Local Board Agreement 2023/2024, message from the chair, and local board advocacy). d) tuhi ā-taipitopito / note that the resolutions of this meeting will be reported back to the Governing Body when it meets to adopt the Annual Budget 2023/2024, including each Local Board Agreement, on 29 June 2023. |

c) tuhi ā-taipitopito / note that the Waitākere Ranges Quick Response Grants Round Two is the final grant round in 2022/2023, and following the above allocation there is $2,019.35 remaining budget unallocated.
d) whakaae / approve the transfer of the remaining 2022/2023 Waitākere Ranges Quick Response Grants Round Two budget of $2,019.35 to the Event Partnership Fund (Work Programme Line 461) to deliver the Piha Matariki 2023 event. |

b) whai / adopt Māori names as dual names for nine parks and two libraries in tranche two of Te Kete Rukuruku as detailed in the following table:
c) whiwhi / receive the narratives which tell the story behind each of the names as outlined in Attachment A. d) whakamihi / acknowledge the intent for Auckland Council to enter a mātauranga agreement that commits to upholding the correct use of Māori names and to use them only for purposes that have a community outreach or educational purpose (non-commercial use). e) whakamana / authorise the gazettal of the park names adopted, for any parks classified under the Reserves Act 1977, in accordance with section 16 (10) of the Reserves Act. f) whakaae / approve Sunvue Park as the preferred location for the installation of bilingual signage. |
