2 Te Whakapuaki i te Whai Pānga | Declaration of Interest

Chairperson M Royal declared an interest for the Waitemata Harbour Crossing Project Alliance Board, and the Waitemata Harbour Crossing Project Steering Group under mana whenua representation.

3 Te Whakaū i ngā Āmiki | Confirmation of Minutes

MOVED by Member W Maihi, seconded by Member A Hawke:

That the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Reserves Board:

a) confirm the extraordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Monday, 08 May 2023, and the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Monday, 19 June 2023, as a true and correct record.

That the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Reserves Board:

a) note the project update reports:

i) Combined Reserve Management Plan

ii) Urupā

iii) Pourewa Pathways & Signage Phase 3

iv) Pourewa Nursery Expansion

v) Renewals and Upgrades Pourewa and Whenua Rangatira

vi) Pourewa Storm Damage – Remediation and Preventative Works

Financial Update as at 30 June 2023

Note: changes to the original motion, adding new clause b), was made with the agreement of the meeting.

Resolution number NGA/2023/16

MOVED by Cr A Dalton, seconded by Member W Maihi:

That the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Reserves Board:

a) receive the financial report as at 30 June 2023.

b) management have requested the use of carry-over CAPEX funds from 2022/23 to cover the extra cost of necessary drainage for the whenua rangatira path project total $37,020.

Budget allocation for 2023/24

Deputy Chairperson D Simpson retired from the meeting at 5.57pm.

Resolution number NGA/2023/17

MOVED by Member A Hawke, seconded by Member S Milne:

That the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Reserves Board:

a) approve the allocation of the 2023/24 budget as per the table below, noting that this is within the 2021-2031 LTP budget allocation.

b) approve the appointment of Moore Markhams as auditors for the 2022/23, 2023/24 and 2024/25 financial years.

c) approve the payment by way of grant for:

i) Management support $200,000

ii) Kaitiaki $105,000

iii) Nursery staffing $200,000
