a) accepted the apology from member Penina Tu’una’i-lfopo for absence.

The Pacific Peoples Advisory Panel:

a) noted the meeting dates for the remainder of the 2022 – 2025 term:

· Monday, 24 June 2024, 5.00pm

· Monday, 12 August 2024, 5.00pm

· Monday, 7 October 2024, 5.00pm

· Monday, 2 December 2024, 5.00pm

· Monday, 10 March 2025, 5.00pm

· Monday, 5 May 2025, 5.00pm

· Monday, 30 June 2025, 5.00pm

· Monday, 11 August 2025, 5.00pm

At 7.33pm the interim Chairperson Litiana Karika vacated the chair in favour of Eddie Tuiavii, Lead Officer of the Pacific Peoples Advisory Panel.

Election of Pacific Peoples Advisory Panel co-chairs for the 2022 - 2025 term

Note: Nominations for the position of Co-Chairpersons for the 2022-2025 term had been received from Litiana Karika and Seumanu Simon Matāfai, JP. The Lead Officer called for further nominations and, there being none, advised the meeting that Litiana Karika and Seumanu Simon Matāfai, JP were declared elected as Co-Chairpersons for the 2022-2025 term.

The Co-Chairpersons were provided the opportunity to thank members for supporting their nominations.

Recommendation/s

The Pacific Peoples Advisory Panel:

a) elected Litiana Karika and Seumanu Simon Matāfai, JP as Co-Chairpersons for the 2022 – 2025 term.

The Lead Officer closed the meeting with a karakia.

7.42pm The lead officer thanked members for their attendance and attention to business and declared the meeting closed.
