Landowner approval and additional lease term for the Indian Association Manukau New Zealand Incorporated at Hillside Park, Papatoetoe

 

Resolution number OP/2023/181

MOVED by Deputy Chairperson O Dewes, MNZM, seconded by Member A Choudhary:  

That the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board:

a)      whakaae / grant landowner approval to the Indian Association Manukau New Zealand Incorporated to build a new community centre on Hillside Park, Papatoetoe

b)      whakaae / approve the removal of the entire fence around the carpark and its replacement with bollards

c)      whakaae / grant a variation to the existing term of the lease to allow for a further 10 year right of renewal to the Indian Association Manukau New Zealand Incorporated for their proposed new community centre on Hillside Park, Papatoetoe which will enable a new final expiry date of 13 May 2041 provided local board logo and signage is adequately displayed at the facility;

i)       Rent $1,300 per annum, commencing the date of the business meeting resolution

d)      whakaae / accept all other terms and conditions to be as per the original lease dated 14 May 2011 in accordance with the Community Occupancy Guidelines 2012 and the Local Government Act.

Adopting the Manukau Sports Bowl Master Plan implementation plan

That the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board:

a)       whai / adopt the Manukau Sports Bowl Master Plan implementation plan, dated November 2023 (Attachment A)

b)       whakamihi / thank mana whenua, the local community and community organisations for their input throughout the development of the Manukau Sports Bowl Master Plan and the implementation plan

c)       tuhi ā-taipitopito / note that the board continues to advocate to the Governing Body for budget provisions in the annual plan (FY/25) and the 10-year Budget for implementing the Manukau Sports Bowl Master Plan. The board will work with the council organisation and Eke Panuku for the implementation of the Manukau Sports Bowl Master Plan, a key initiative in the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board Plan 2023 

d)       whakamihi / thank officers from the council organisation and Eke Panuku for providing regular and timely information and advice to the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board.

Implementation of the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Sport and Active Recreation Facilities Plan 2023/2024

a)      whai / adopt the amended priority projects list including the addition of netball court and tennis court lighting renewals at Papatoetoe Recreation Grounds

b)      whakaae / approve funding up to $22,860 to East Tamaki Domain Tennis Club Incorporated to support tennis court lighting renewals

c)      whakaae / approve funding up to $27,140 to Kolmar Charitable Trust to support netball court and tennis court lighting renewals.
