/ receive the performance report for quarter one ending 30 September 2023

/ request a new work programme line be added to the 2023/2024 Customer and
Community Services work programme for Out and About Papakura with a $20,0000
budget reallocated from the Community Grants work programme line (ID365) as
follows:
i) Activity
name: Out and About Papakura
Activity description:
Deliver a range of 10-12
activations plus two six-week blocks of boot camps at Otaawhati/Ray Small
Park. The activation container sitting at Massey Park will be moved to
Otaawhati/Ray Small Park
d) whakaae / agree to the reallocation of $10,000 from the 2023/2024 Community Grants work programme (ID365) to Customer & Community Services Support Māori-led Aspirations work programme (ID351) for Papakura Marae to deliver the following event:
i) Christmas at the Paa - $10,000

of the $2,500 underspend from the 2023/2024 Youth Grants work programme

pilot citizenship ceremony at Papakura Marae in February 2024, with
additional funding of $2,400 to be transferred from the 2023/2024 Customer
& Community Services Support Māori-led Aspirations work programme line

Local crime prevention fund. Prevention
initiatives contributing to reducing youth offending or town centre
improvements through Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)
measures.
- Youth interventions include programmes to improve social well-being,
positive activities, cultural connection, alternative justice and education
engagement.
- CPTED interventions include patrols, wardens, events, activations,
physical improvements such as planters, lighting, beautification.

Allocations of the Local Crime Fund:

$21,355 –
to fund the Takanini Business Association to contract a provider for a
Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) review for Takanini
($10,000) and implement some of the recommendations that would come from
the review ($11,355).
·
$10,000 –
to fund Mātātoa for a Māori-led initiative drawing on
Mātauranga Māori, reconnecting local rangatahi with taiao natural
environment and the traditional and customary practices that sit alongside,
incorporating taonga tākaro (traditional Māori games and
activities).
·
$10,000 –
to fund the Kootuitui ki Papakura to scale up their pilot Kootuitui
Kōhine (adolescent female) initiative, supporting Kōhine to build
their confidence, smash down barriers, aspire for more and to
self-determine their future.
