Auckland Council’s Performance Report: Aotea / Great Barrier Local Board for quarter one 2023/2024 |

Resolution number GBI/2023/121 MOVED by Chairperson I Fordham, seconded by Member C Ollivier: That the Aotea / Great Barrier Local Board: a) whiwhi / receive the performance report for quarter one ending 30 September 2023. b) whakaae / approve the inclusion to the 2023/2024 work programme for the two activities Local Crime Prevention fund (ID #3957) and Community and business emergency response plans and resilience programme (ID #3963). c) whakaae / approve funding of $20,000 from the Local Grants budget line to Infrastructure and Environmental Services department to support Logan Marine Caulerpa surveillance: i) tono / request this funding is used specifically for the ROV survey work ii) tuhi ā-taipitopito / note that funding for this surveillance work is being joint funded by MPI, Aotea Great Barrier Environmental Trust, Infrastructure and Environmental Services and the local board iii) tuhi ā-taipitopito / note that the surveillance work is being scaled to available funding and surveillance sites are still to be determined.

Resolution number GBI/2023/122 MOVED by Chairperson I Fordham, seconded by Member L Caine: That the Aotea / Great Barrier Local Board: a) whakaae / approve local consultation document content (Attachment A) and local supporting information content (Attachment B) for inclusion in the 10-year Budget 2024-2034 consultation material. b) tautapa / delegate authority to the local board Chair to approve any changes required to finalise the local consultation document and supporting information content for the Aotea / Great Barrier Local Board for the 10-year Budget 2024-2034. c) whakaae / approve the following Have Your Say event in the local board area during the 10-year Budget 2024-2034 consultation period: i) Community BBQ at Claris Conference Centre on Saturday 9th March 2024 at midday d) tautapa / delegate authority to the local board Chair to approve any changes required to the Have Your Say event. e) tautapa / delegate to the following elected members and staff the power and responsibility to hear from the public through “spoken (or New Zealand sign language) interaction” in relation to the local board agreement at the council’s public engagement events during the consultation period for the 10-year Budget 2024-2034: i) local board members and Chair ii) General Manager Local Board Services, Local Area Manager, Local Board Senior Advisor, Local Board Advisor, Local Board Engagement Advisor iii) any additional staff approved by the General Manager Local Board Services or the Group Chief Financial Officer.

Resolution number GBI/2023/130 MOVED by Chairperson I Fordham, seconded by Deputy Chairperson P O'Shea: That the Aotea / Great Barrier Local Board: a) whakaae / agree to exclude the public from the following part(s) of the proceedings of this meeting. b) whakaae / agree that Audrey Gan - Lead Financial Advisor be permitted to remain for Confidential Item C1 10-year Budget 2024-2034 – Local Board input on regional consultation content after the public has been excluded, because of her knowledge of the long term plan and council – related finance matters, which will help the Aotea / Great Barrier Local Board in its decision-making. The general subject of each matter to be considered while the public is excluded, the reason for passing this resolution in relation to each matter, and the specific grounds under section 48(1) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 for the passing of this resolution follows.
