10-year Budget 2024-2034 - local consultation content

That the Henderson-Massey Local Board:

a)      whakaae / approve local consultation document content (Attachment A) and local supporting information content (Attachment B) for inclusion in the 10-year Budget 2024-2034 consultation material.

b)      tautapa / delegate authority to the local board Chair to approve any changes required to finalise the local consultation document and supporting information content for the Henderson-Massey Local Board for the 10-year Budget 2024-2034. 

c)      whakaae / approve the following Have Your Say event in the Henderson-Massey local board area during the 10-year Budget 2024-2034 consultation period:

i)       The Henderson-Massey Local Board Have Your Say event will be held on Tuesday, 19 March 2024, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the Council Chambers, 1 Smythe Road, Henderson.

d)      tautapa / delegate authority to the local board Chair to approve any changes required to the Have Your Say event.

e)      tautapa / delegate to the following elected members and staff the power and responsibility to hear from the public through “spoken (or New Zealand sign language) interaction” in relation to the local board agreement at the council’s public engagement events during the consultation period for the 10-year Budget 2024-2034:

i)       local board members and Chair

ii)      General Manager Local Board Services, Local Area Manager, Local Board Senior Advisor, Local Board Advisor, Local Board Engagement Advisor

iii)     any additional staff approved by the General Manager Local Board Services or the Group Chief Financial Officer.

Future of assets at 41 Wilsher Crescent, Henderson

MOVED by Member D Collins, seconded by Member P Chan:  

That the Henderson-Massey Local Board:

a)    whakaae / approve the removal of the residential property, garage and associated assets at 41 Wilsher Crescent and the reinstatement of the area to lawn.

b)    tuhi ā-taipitopito / note that following deconstruction of the residential property, garage and associated assets at 41 Wilsher Crescent:

i)       the asset will be removed from the council’s asset database.

ii)      regional renewals budget will not be able to be used to replace the asset or the service it provided, under council’s financial policies and guidelines.

iii)     reinstating of the asset will require new development funding.

c)    tuhi ā-taipitopito / note that the Regional Operational Work Programme is subject to regional prioritisation and that the timing of the deconstruction of this asset cannot be confirmed at this time.
