The Chair opened the meeting and welcomed everyone present.

a)         whakamihi / acknowledge and congratulate Christopher Luxon, Member of Parliament for Botany, and Simeon Brown, Member of Parliament for Pakuranga, on their appointment as Prime Minister and Minister for Energy, Transport, Local Government and Auckland, as well as Deputy Leader of the House, respectively. The Howick Local Board have enjoyed a constructive working relationship with both MPs and look forward to continuing to work together on relevant issues and opportunities.

The Howick Local Board is proud to provide funding for this popular community event that has brought joy to local tamariki for generations. We acknowledge the other sponsors who provide financial support and the significant contribution from local volunteers who enable this event to take place.
