The Disability Advisory Panel:

a)          whakaū / confirmed the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Monday, 21 August 2023 as a true and correct record.

Recovery Office Update

 

A presentation was given in support of the item. A copy is available as a workshop notes attachment. Panel members asked questions and gave feedback on the information provided.

 

Action – When the Recovery Office return to the Disability Advisory Panel, to provide some disability-specific data.

 

The Disability Advisory Panel:

a)      tuhi ā-taipitopito / noted the update from the Recovery Office.

Auckland Emergency Management Community Readiness Programme

 

Panel members asked questions and provided feedback on the information provided.

 

The Disability Advisory Panel:

a)      tautokongia / supported Auckland Emergency Management Planning Unit to promote inclusiveness and support diversity in emergency readiness and response activities.

b)      tūtohungia / recommended key community stakeholder groups for Auckland Emergency Management to support with emergency readiness activities.

c)       arotake / reviewed the draft Local Board Emergency Readiness and Response Plan template (Attachment A).

Discussion on Community Engagement / Working Group for Emergency Preparedness

 

Action – for staff supporting the Disability Advisory Panel to address suggestions raised in the meeting for a community engagement event, date to fall in October.

 

The Disability Advisory Panel:

a.       arotake / reviewed their proposed community engagement and discuss potential ventures for the working group.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The workshop adjourned at 2.05pm and reconvened at 2.15pm.

Regional Land Transport Plan 2024 - 2034 Auckland Transport

 

Panel members asked questions and provided feedback on the information provided.

 

The Disability Advisory Panel:

a)      arotake / reviewed the draft Regional Land Transport Plan in an item led by Auckland Transport staff and provided their feedback.

Demographic Advisory Panels LTP Closing the Loop Report

 

Member A Hogan retired from the meeting at 3.17pm.

 

A presentation was given in support of the item. A copy is available as a workshop notes attachment.

 

The Disability Advisory Panel:

a)      whiwhi / received this report as acknowledgment of the input from Auckland Council’s Advisory Panels to the Long-term Plan 2024-2034.
