Legislative Reform
Biodiversity Credit System Policy Policy, Planning and Governance		To whiwhi / receive and consider staff advice on the proposed Biodiversity Credit System submission and provide any recommendations or feedback for the Policy and Planning Committee’s review. Progress to date:
Climate change
Shoreline Adaptation Plan programme Engineering, Assets and Technical Advisory Resilience and Infrastructure	The Shoreline Adaptation Plan programme is planning for the future of Auckland’s 3,200km of shorelines (beaches, cliffs, harbours and estuaries) in response to the impacts of climate change, erosion and flooding.	To whiwhi / receive and consider staff advice on the Shoreline Adaptation Plans prior to the plans being finalised and presented to the Policy and Planning Committee for approval. Progress to date:

Achieving better environmental outcomes for the Manukau Harbour Policy Policy, Planning and Governance	Developing and implementing an overarching approach to prioritise, coordinate and evaluate action by the council to improve environmental outcomes for the Manukau Harbour.	To whiwhi / receive a progress update on work programme activity that relates to regional parks and other significant open spaces, beaches and walkways. Progress to date:
Drought Management Plan Policy Policy, Planning and Governance		To whiwhi / receive updates on progress as it relates to regional parks and other significant open spaces, beaches and walkways. Progress to date:

Regional Pest Management Plan 2030-2024 Environmental Services Community	To initiate a review of the Regional Pest Management Plan to satisfy section 100D of the Biosecurity Act.	To whiwhi / receive and consider an update on relevant parts of the Regional Pest Management Plan 2030-2040 discussion document prior to its endorsement by the Policy and Planning Committee for public consultation. Progress to date:
Natural environment targeted rate programme Environmental Services Community	Natural environment projects supported by the natural environment targeted rate will help protect the environment and tackle the pests, weeds and diseases that are threatening the native species.	To whiwhi / receive any relevant annual report information prior to annual report being received and endorsed by the Policy and Planning Committee. Progress to date:
Annual report on the council’s operational plan for implementing the Regional Pest Management Plan 2020-2030 Environmental Services Community	Under section 100B of the Biosecurity Act, the council is required to report annually on its operational plan for implementing the Regional Pest Management Plan.	To whiwhi / receive any relevant annual report information prior to annual report being received and endorsed by the Policy and Planning Committee. Progress to date:

Parks and Community Regional Capital Investment Work Programme 2025/2026	The regionally funded capital works programme for parks and community.	To whiwhi / receive and consider an update on the Regional Parks parts of the Parks and Community Regional Capital Investment Work Programme 2025/2026 prior to approval by the Community Committee.
Te Ara Hura Project 27	Review of the structure of full facilities contracts and to explore a potential future contract framework.	To whiwhi / receive and consider an update on the project as it relates to Regional Parks prior to approval by the Revenue, Expenditure and Value Committee.
