Governance role: Setting direction Summary of Discussions: The local board was provided with an update on the Wai Manawa / Little Shoal Bay asset renewal. The local board raised the following points and questions in response to the presentation: · Concerns about investing in large-scale changes while flooding issues persist. · Suggestion to reprioritise spending on practical improvements rather than high-spec developments. · Calls for integration of ecological feedback and public consultation in planning. Governance role: Setting direction Summary of Discussions: The local board was provided with an update on the Local Board Crash Data Dashboard demonstration. The local board raised the following points and questions in response to the presentation: · Raised the potential value in analysing patterns leading to serious crashes. · Appreciated the inclusion of pedestrian and cyclist injuries, emphasising the importance of tracking different modes of transport. · Acknowledged the tools’ utility and encouraged future collaboration to continue enhancing the application. The local board raised the following points and questions in response to the presentation: · Requested proactive updates to the public via newsletters, web pages (e.g., with QR codes), and FAQs - regarding bus schedules and detour information to avoid disruptions. · Raised queries on enforcement, road markings, and stage 2 developments of the projects. · Emphasised importance of transparency and regular updates to ensure public awareness and project efficiency.
