Item 1 – Lopdell Trust

9.30am-10.00am

Presenter/s:                  Terry Bates, Chairperson; Tim Livingstone, Deputy Chair; Emmy Seccombe, Trust's Executive Officer; Craig Bodmin; Trust Member; Jeff Wells; Trust Member.

Summary of Discussions

Lopdell Trust members and staff presented highlights and challenges of the past 18 months. This included the Trust’s financial position, its critical challenges looking ahead, its obligations of partnership with Council and the Trust’s community engagement.

 

Item 2 – McCahon House Trust

Presenter/s:                  Jude Chambers, Director, McCahon House Museum and Artists' Residency; Simran Saseve-Dale, Engagement Manager.

Summary of Discussions

The McCahon House Trust presented an overview of their recent engagement events, local engagement, and international engagement. The presentation also included the Trust’s educational achievements over the past 18 months, alongside a snapshot of their challenges and highlights.

Item 3 – Te Uru Contemporary Gallery

Presenter/s:                  AD Schierning, Director; Mark Allen; Chairperson; Emmy Seccombe, Business Services Manager.

Summary of Discussions

Te Uru presented its highlights and challenges over the past 18 months, providing the board with a range of statistics to highlight its current financial position, as well as its achievements spanning from visitor attendance to visitor demographic.

Item 4 – Titirangi Community Arts Council (The Upstairs Gallery)

Presenter/s:                  Carlos Toalii, Manager and Curator; Tatiana Harper, Manager and Curator; John Scott, Chair.

Summary of Discussions

The Upstairs gallery presented to the board its highlights and challenges of the past 18 months alongside important collaborations in which the gallery have participated in. The Gallery also presented important statistics to highlight its various programs, visitors and performances.

Item 5 – Glen Eden Playhouse Theatre

Summary of Discussions

The Glen Eden Playhouse Theatre presented to the board their highlights and challenges over the past 18 months as well as its current position alongside giving the board a view of its year looking ahead.

Summary of Discussions

The Going West Trust updated the board on the Shadbolt House structural restoration project alongside its archiving project, future events, and the finalisation of its 5-year strategic plan.

Item 8 – West Coast Gallery (West Coast Community Arts Trust)

Summary of Discussions

The West Coast Gallery discussed with the board its highlights and challenges of the past 18 months alongside its plans for the galleries re-location and challenges ahead in the new year.
