Purpose of the report
1. To present the Waitematā Local Board workshop agenda for 26 November 2024.

Executive summary
2. Most workshops are open to the public to attend as observers in person or online.
3. Some sessions may not be open to the public. The staff and chairperson decide which sessions are open to the public, depending on the sensitivity of the information being discussed.
4. Workshops will be recorded and a link to the recording will be included in the published documents. Email katherine.kang@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz for a link to join the workshop online. The public can observe the workshop on via MS Teams, but not to participate.
5. Local Board workshops provide an opportunity for local boards to carry out their governance role in the following areas:
a) Accountability to the public
b) Engagement
c) Input to regional decision-making
d) Keeping informed
e) Local initiative / preparing for specific decisions
f) Oversight and monitoring
g) Setting direction / priorities / budget.
6. Workshops do not have decision-making authority.
7. Workshops are used to canvass issues, prepare local board members for upcoming decisions and to enable discussion between elected members and staff.
8. Members are respectfully reminded of their Code of Conduct obligations with respect to conflicts of interest and confidentiality.

Open workshop Item 1 – 10.30am – 12.00pm |
Auckland Transport Presenter/s: Alex Elton-Farr, Raman Singh, Sila Auvaa, Loretta Su'a-Chang
Purpose: Item 1: Local Board Capital Transport Fund: Staff and the Board to discuss the Local Board Capital Transport Fund, staff will provide the Board an update on the budget that was recently confirmed in November 2024. Staff and the Board will discuss the previous Local Board resolved projects. Staff and the Board will discuss new potential projects that were identified previously. Staff will recommend projects to prioritise for the remaining two financial years of 3-year term. Item 2: Parnell Wayfinding Improvements: Staff and the Board to discuss the Parnell Wayfinding Improvements. Staff and the Board will discuss the wayfinding signage plan for Waipapa Greenways, Parnell town centre and its surrounds.
Governance role: Setting direction, priorities and budgets Proposed Outcome/s: The Board will understand the Local Board Capital Transport Plan and the new potential projects as well as projects to be prioritized on for the remaining two financial years. The Board will also understand the Parnell Wayfinding improvements and the wayfinding signage plan for Waipapa Greenways.

192 Parnell Road verbal update Presenter/s: Tsz Ning Chung (Community Lease Specialist)
Purpose: Staff to provide the Board verbal update on the 192 Parnell Road expression of interest process.
