Former NRLW Warriors player and Māngere East Rugby League Football Club
where she joined in 2001. Kath’s impact on the game, particularly in the
development of women’s rugby league, is immeasurable, and her legacy will
live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Throughout her career, Kath was a tireless advocate for youth development and the growth of girls’ participation in rugby league. Her work in growing the girls’ game in the Northland and Hokianga regions has left an enduring mark, ensuring that girls’ rugby league is in a better place because of her contributions,

Cr Alf Filipaina was present via electronic link to update the Board on the Auckland Transport restructure and Fairer Funding. Cr Filipaina also acknowledged the work of his former Councillor Support Advisor Ana Day who has moved to Local Board Services. Cr Filipaina also acknowledged the passing of Reverend Roy Christian on 19 November 2024 and Ian McGechie, a former Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board Member on 17 November 2024. |
